Exemption only applies to room package rates (accommodations plus service). Permit must be shown upon arrival. This tax is not automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation. Please note that childs under 7, even though they stay for free, they have to pay for the breakfast The foreign guest is exempt from VAT (tax), as long as one of the following documents is presented: Passport stamped by Migración Colombia, Andean Card or Mercosur Card. if you do not present one of these documents, the Hotel will charge VAT, which is 19% more of the value of the accommodations.
