Short Drive to Stonehenge. A Modern, Clean, Comfortable Hotel that's Great Value for Money

The hotel is just outside Devizes town centre. It's a short drive to Stonehenge and Avebury. It has a free car park, is very clean and the staff are friendly. It's very quiet. There is a Morrisons nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Hot and noisy

On the positive side the hotel is clean and well maintained. There is a large car park. Less positive. It was hot and very noisy. We were put on the 2nd floor next to the busy A361. If you could have closed the window it may have been possible to sleep but there is no air con and the restricted window is the only source of ventilation. The result was a very poor nights sleep. If we are going to have ever hotter summers then Travelodge have a problem on their hands since the rooms, temperature wise, are very uncomfortable to sleep in. The hotel is on the outskirts of Devizes so quite a walk to the town centre. There is a very pleasant walk along the K and A canal so use that rather than walking along the busy road.

Don’t stop at this disgrace

The good bit.
It was clean and warm
The bad bit
It was hotter in the room than the corridor. The chair was in the closet and if you sat in it you would loose your head in your clothing. Paid for a more expensive room that was far from quiet overlooking the local kebab shop. The solid air conditioning was in reception and I honestly felt like sleeping there. The shower gel was not premium. I tried to move hotels but unfortunately not able to. A pathetic 6 inch fan will never cool me

Good hotel, would use again.

Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, free parking. Downside bed too soft and lumpy so didn't sleep well, think bed needs changing. Suggestions to management - window lock broken but window closed ok. Put nets or blind on window so can open curtains on ground floor. Suggestion to future guests, no need to buy their breakfast offer in advance as Greggs and Subway next to hotel.

ust outside town centre. Beware of the ants.

Situated just out of town. Adequate parking available. There must have been something taking place nearby as prices were high for these 2 days that we were there. Room 009 was on the ground floor, which was helpful because of limited mobility, but it did mean that we were invaded by ants near the tea/coffee making facility in the room. Couldn't have heavy curtains open during day/evening as there were no net curtains and window opened onto the car park with guests walking by the window. No restaurant, only a Subway next door, and have experienced the "breakfast" box elsewhere & wouldn't want it again. Morrisons supermarket if half a mile away who do a reasonable hot breakfast.
