Economical stay

This establishment calls itself a 3 star on some sites and this is fair so 5/5... we have stayed in worse 4 star places. We stayed in a lower floor Queen room with parking outside the door. Electric hob, full sized fridge, microwave, balcony. Serviced every 2 days which was fine.
Its on the edge of town with about 20-25 minutes flat walk to the waterfront. Bit of a walk to restaurants etc.
Close to Mindal Markets.
No alcohol licence but the Punters Bar and Celebrations bottle shop only a few minutes away and you can take it in to the pool area.
Breakfast and dinner are available. Guest laundry at $5 a machine.
Pros - very reasonably priced.
Cons - ? Business accommodation because of the cost, resulting in early morning (0300) vehicle starting on 3 mornings.
Friendly staff.

A very enjoyable Stay

Vitina is part of the Argus Group and was a cheaper accommodation option for us. We stayed for a week at Vitina Studios in August 2026 in a King Studio. The room was spacious and well furnished with a good sized bathroom and a balcony. The kitchenette had an electric two burner cooktop, microwave and full sized fridge. The King Studios are on the first level and reached only by stairs which we were fine with. The Room was spotless and we had a full service mid stay. The buffet breakfast is very well priced and there are dinner options as well. The pool area was also spotless and well shaded and very pleasant to sit in and we made use of the Bar B Que area which was also clean and supplied with a basket of tools, oil, cleaning equipment. The staff were amazing – incredible customer service, cheerful and accommodating – nothing was too much trouble. There is a good laundry area and clothes airers are available for drying upon request.
There is no liquor licence at Vitina. However, Punters Bar and Celebrations bottle shop are only a few minutes’ walk away and you can take your own drinks and snacks into the bar b que and deck. It was very quiet day and night. The food is also good at Punters Bar. The location was perfect for us: We walked to the MIndil Market, the Casino and Woolworths. In fact we walked right down to the Waterfront but if you prefer, the buses stopping near the corner of Daly and Cavanagh Sts are in easy reach of the back entrance of Vitina and cover many bus routes. We went to Ski Club, The Sailing Club, The Trailer Boat Club – all the bars and restaurants in town are an easy distance – Ubers were quick and clean and nowhere is very far cost wise. We took buses to the Fanny Bay Gaol, The Museum and various other attractions. We will stay at Vitina again.

The room was very clean and functional and aircon worked. One of the cleanes we stayed in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bonus getting free parking especially in a city , but we were there early afternoon and it is first come first served . However the pool was a disappointment. It was very hot and i looked forward to a swim but it was too murky for my comfort.

Very good for our 10 day Darwin stay visiting family. Close to tourist spots and restaurants.

The car park was a bonus, staff at reception helpful, the room was very small, the beds are hard and uncomfortable. Location oK
