Highpoint of our Holiday

We stayed in a 4 bed chalet. Very well fitted out with full kitchen, AC, BBQ, fire pit, washing machine & dryer. We used it as a base to visit Lake Maligne. Saw grizzlies, elk, deer, marmots, moose & caught 8 brook trout & 3 rainbows fishing. Bbq’d our quota of 4. The bistro is good but we mainly catered for ourselves.

Brilliant get away from it all

Brilliant get away from it all experience . This place left such a happy impression. We loved our little bungalow, and the back to nature vibe. The bungalow was basic- but clean, tidy and comfortable. The fire pits and communal areas are lovely. Whilst not the smartest hotel, it’s so welcoming and friendly- and really does afford the opportunity to disconnect from the outside world. Wonderful wildlife and outdoor experiences on your doorstep. Would totally recommend

We had a great stay in a family riverside cabin. It was very clean and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Really comfortable beds and the kitchen had everything we needed. Watching the elk grazing outside our cabin was lovely!

Very cosy

Really lovely, cosy atmosphere. Bed was very comfortable and the cabin was very cosy. Perfect for a quiet getaway out in nature. Lovely to be able to make our own fire outside the cabin. Walking distance into town. Staff were very kind and helpful. Drinks from reception were quite pricy.

Beautiful and quiet location

We stayed in one of the river facing cabins (the most expensive location I imagine) and it was lovely. The cabin was probably 20 yards from the river and there are benches to sit on and enjoy the peace and quiet. Some elk came onto the site which was a treat and we also watched them on the other side of the river...plus them taking a swim. Our room was clean and we made use of the small kitchen area. We had a problem with the shower and it was fixed the day I reported it. Staff were great and very friendly. the site was super quiet (which is what we wanted) and the bed was very big and comfortable. The on site restaurant was very expensive but it is a 'gourmet' experience so I suppose you it depends what you're looking for. Jasper is about 5 minutes drive away and has everything you need in terms of shopping and facilities. There is a laundrette in the town which was cheap and great. We were there in early July and the mosquitoes became quite a problem if you want to sit out. It shouldn't put you off....just go prepared!
