The "finest" is not always the best

Guerilla kro can be recommended
We just spent a few days at Gjerrild kro, which is a cozy inn out in the countryside. They have a delicious breakfast buffet with cheese etc., like all hotels have. They have soft bacon, scrambled eggs, and sausages that you can take freely. If you ask for scrambled eggs, they are freshly made and you can then supplement with bacon and sausages yourself. Fried eggs are a natural accompaniment to a breakfast table.
The dinner is also very nice, as is their Friday buffet which is lavish.
The prices are very reasonable compared to the well-allowed food and wine prices are also at a reasonable rate.
Overall a really good stay.
Afterwards we drove up to a inn and bathing hotel in Thy and the piano plays quite differently there. Jelly egg cake with 1 piece of bacon and 1 sausage - no option to take bacon, sausages or scrambled eggs yourself. Fried eggs cost DKK 25.
Price and quality don't always go together!
Gjerrild kro is by far the cheapest and the quality is top.
It is the customer's choice where they want to live, but often you discover too late what you should have chosen.

Nice stay with good chromad

We had a stay for three days with half pension. Nice large, bright and clean room with good beds and good bathroom. The dinner was large portions, well prepared and tasted good. The breakfast buffet had what it was supposed to be.
The staff was very friendly, smiling and welcoming.
Gjerrild can be highly recommended as a starting point for tours on Djursland. We'd love to come back.

Lovely place

Gjerrild Kro is a nice place to stay for a few days. The host couple does everything to make you feel at home. The rest of the staff was nice and service-minded. We had a lovely large room with a small terrace. Nice bathroom with good products. The breakfast buffet was really delicious. We had ordered with 2 dishes dinner and it was also good. Large portions.
There was almost no closet space for the clothes in the room. There are so many shelves missing.
The room we stayed in (No 4) got light through the window in the door from either the parking lot or the inn. It lit up the whole room all night. Shit. I wish the next time there were dark curtains for all windows

Tusind tak for din anmeldelse. Vi håber I nød opholdet. Også tak for idéer til forbedringer, det er altid en stor hjælp.

Baby crib did not have a mattress, we were provided a few smelly blankets, one of them with yellow spots. No black out curtains, which made sleeping during the summer very difficult. The floor carpet seemed very old and difficult to clean. No air conditioner.
However, the staff was friendly and the location and view were beautiful. We this it was a bit overpriced.
