Quality guesthouse with a beautiful sea view.

A quality guesthouse, triple room with balcony and superb sea view, recently renovated, quite spacious and equipped with a kitchenette, a fridge, and utensils for dining on the balcony.
Impeccable cleanliness of the rooms. Very friendly and available staff.
We preferred to rent a car as it is relatively far from the port and restaurants or boat excursions. And the access to the guesthouse is quite steep!
Reception at the pool bar. Breakfast is also by the pool, simple but all the essentials are there, just like in hotels.
If I were to return to Skiathos, I would gladly go back.
Bus lines pass nearby to the beaches or the village.
At the entrance of the path leading to the guesthouse, there are convenience stores and car or quad rentals.

Not recommend

Booking.com did marketing for Mango Skiathos as a 4-star hotel.But it does not have requirement for a 4-star hotel.When we called booking.com about this hotel is not 4-star hotel the manager reacted and behaved unprofessionaly and was very ignorant to us.
It was very steep and located on a hill.I do not recommend for people who do have physical problem.

Hot Tub Broken and Dirty – Holiday Ruined Despite Polite Staff

The apartment was clean and staff polite, but the stay was ruined by the nonfunctional and dirty hot tub. We booked this room specifically for the hot tub as a backup in bad weather — and the weather was bad, so we couldn’t use it at all. Despite repeated complaints and refund requests, the staff offered no support, no solution, and no response. A major disappointment that completely ruined our holiday.

Incredible week!

After reading some negative reviews we were worried about staying here, however we had no issues at all and had a great week. The staff are friendly, helpful and speak good english. We stayed in room 36 (junior suite), the view was amazing and the room was clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Its a 20 minutes walk into town and is a little hilly, but its worth it to stay somewhere with an amazing view. The closest beach is a 10 minute walk away. The pool area is great and there were plenty of sunbeds when we stayed (04-11 Sept 2024).
The only negatives are the pool had some sand at the bottom some days, and we only had 1 pillow each which made it hard to sleep some days. Breakfast was pretty basic but as expected.

Worst place ever!!!

I want to start my review with good words about the two lovely girls that manage the structure ALONE . They are nice, gentle but abandoned in this place , maybe too young to face and solve any problem.
from our arrival late at night, problems started one after the other
Electricity issue: every ten minutes light went off and on …causing problem with the temperature of the room …you know without electricity …air contrition doesn’t work! Every evening on our return from the beach the same problem ..and after one week we faced the same problem but starting from the early morning!! So no coffee at breakfast!!!
Bathroom: no shelf to put bath stuff, poor quality of toilet seat …also broken!
Breakfast: again low quality …nothing to toast bread!!! Unbelievable!! only Nestcaffe from an automatic machine…no fresh orange juice ..only boiled eggs and synthetic ham …
Cleaning: not quite satisfactory …the way to clean the room very approximative and definitely insufficient
The manager never turn up to help the girls …and maybe also to apologize for the uncomfortable situation
Then another problem on Saturday, after one week ..during my shower I discover that there was no hot water … so I had a cold shower!!!!
After that, we had our dinner and when we decide to wash dishes….there was no water at all
the manager, again, doesn't show up and doesn't even call to apologize and give any explanation
Apologies at this point are superfluous and useless
We paid a massive amount of money in advance aspecting a different treatment..not such a cheap place
The rate was very high for what we received in return
At this point I’m definitely disappointed and I’m going to pretend a refund to compensate this awful situation which spoiled our holiday
