Good location

We had a good stay at Liberty Hotel in Riga. It is conveniently located in the old town, near shops, places of interest, restaurants, and fast food chains.
There are security doors, an elevator, and a common kitchen. The room itself is spacious, and has a wall of shelves like a walk-in closet.
Sandys granted us early check-in. Vinatta assisted us for check-out. Both were helpful. However, there was a lady staff whom we encountered on November 4 at 7:30pm. She was quite rude and not helpful at all when we asked about the laundry services.
Another opportunity area was that the heater wasn't turned on from the main switch. We had to request the staff at the reception to address that.

Run away!!!

Catastrophic establishment both on the reception, and the general state of the common areas (including showers and toilets).
The rooms are dirty, the equipment is rotten, and the electrical connections are torn off (especially the radiators).

Hate to write bad reviews but the bad smell is still in my nose.

This is the first time in my life when I left a hotel right after check in. I couldn't breath in the room, So smelly... The furniture's right place is in garbage. I can't believe that someone gave this hotel good reviews. I preferred to come back to the airport and loose money but be able to breath. I booked a room for myself and did not expect something special as I wanted to be outdoor but I couldn't even toouch the bed. Soooo frustrated. The location is great. It close to old town but this hotel certainly needs to do something to make this place livable. Sorry, but if I would be able to put 0, it would be my mark for this place's condition.

Not so good as in the reviews

Let's start with the positive aspects : the location of the hotel is nice (right in front of the Monument of Liberty), the prices are good too, the rooms are okay, and there is free wifi.
But, there is a big work to do on the services given. The toilets and showers are very dirty, it's not nice to take a shower or go to the toilets. Toiletries are included in the price of the room, but it's already used shampoo bottle, maybe left by previous customers. We had to ask for the towels, they gave us some, and one of them was a bath rug (very funny at the moment not after). I would recommend this Hotel just for the location and if you don't have money.

Good price and location

Hotel is right in the city center and price for 2 people/2 nights was 40€ which is ok. Room is clean. But, the wifi is slow, even though it has no password. And getting inside the hotel is a bit puzzle. Check-ins are starting at 3 pm. And someone should do smtng about the mold in the showere. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Thank you Riga.
