The location is excellent — just a 15-minute walk to the city center and several main attractions, which makes it very convenient to get around without needing transportation.
Overall, the place has great potential due to its prime location and the owner’s attentive service. However, it requires better supervision and maintenance to provide a more comfortable and consistent experience for guests.

The place looks exactly as it's photographed. It's a lovely, brand new build with excellent design. Juan, the host, is easy to communicate with and made check-in and check-out a breeze. Would stay here again if we return. Thoroughly enjoyed our suite with a fridge and kitchen so that we could store some drinks. Gracias!

A gem in Merida!

A group of three of us have just returned from a family wedding in Merida. We stayed at the fabulous Casa Tunkul. Ever before we arrived our host Juan was so welcoming and went above and beyond in assisting us with hair appointments etc. The location is ideal, very centrally located and at all times we felt very safe. Juan also gave excellent restaurant recommendations when we arrived and was easily contactable when we needed him. Casa Tunkul is spotless and cleaned daily. The mini kitchen in each bedroom was very well stocked with kitchen ware, cutlery and many refreshing drinks in the fridge. There was also a very generous welcome pack on arrival. Thank you Juan for your wonderful hospitality in Merida. Norma (Ireland)

Beautiful accommodations & super close to the airport! The host was responsive & the room we stayed in was beautiful. I highly recommend staying here! Although my work trip was short, it was nice to come back and rest at this decorative place after a long day of work. The TV in the room allowed me to watch my shows & the mini fridge kept my water cool since it was warm outside. The cold water helped. The shower was clean & the bed was comfortable & awesome.
