Paradise place

Just a lovely place to be for a few days.
Beautiful room in a detached cottage with terrace overlooking the Chobe River.
Great food and very friendly staff.

An outstanding experience that we will always remember

Chobe elephant camp is outstanding! We loved every minute of our time there. It is the perfect balance of rustic and luxury. The location is great with many animal sightings while in camp. The evening sunsets can’t be beat and the night sky is absolutely lit up with so many stars. The rooms are comfortable with great river views and all staff were warm, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Our safari guide and driver, Isaac, was outstanding! We highly recommend him. Thanks to Isaac we were able to see so many animals up close. Their interactions continue to amaze us. He made the entire experience very special for us! We absolutely loved our daily game drives and sunset happy hours in the bush. We hope to return again in the future!

Very nice hotel. Good organization despite the flooding. Extraordinary environment. Very good breakfast.

Mixed feelings....

The lodge has its good and bad sides. The staff is very nice on the one hand and other staff were extremely unfriendly and derogatory towards guests, with the heavy suitcases is not helped. We were asked for our room number at dinner, for example, when we called it, the waitress said in a snappy tone: No!! It wasn't until we showed her the room key that she said okay, because she thought we were from the campsite. Our guide from the half day boat tour in the afternoon was very nice and the excursion was spectacular, we saw many animals and also how a zebra was killed by a crocodile, a special experience. Breakfast is nothing special and dinner goes like this. The room is apparently newly renovated, bed was cozy, mosquito net available, although with hole but available. What bothers is that there is no bathroom door and you can see from the bed virtually to the toilet, that could surely have been solved better and is not everyone's business.
