Comfortable mountain hotel and especially a good table

A group stay for snowshoeing under the guidance of our guide, Frédéric. The same day we arrived the snow fell in abundance. We were accommodated and fed at the hotel comfortable and renovated. Very welcome from Thiphaine (for the service ) and Benjamin (the chef), who cooked us good tasty and hearty dishes in his own way by varying every day the menu displayed in the room on a board. Breakfasts with croissants or fresh chocolate breads every morning cold cuts, cheese, apple juice etc. Before dinner we had an aperitif in the lounge, there is a choice of local beers sold at the bar, while reading Asterix. As the stay progressed, Thiphaine improvised the day before departure a karaoke of the French variety of the 70s-80s that was very successful. Benjamin dropped off two tired participants in Abriès for an "off" day with a good lunch advice at Boris's, the Address, an intimate place and real home cooking. I tasted a delicious terrine of herbal poultry livers. In short, I congratulate our guests on the Hotel Ristolas that I recommend.

Excellent step

Small 2 star Pension, with very comfortable room and bedding, tastefully renovated bathroom. The linen is soft and smells good, it is very appreciable.
Breakfast is hearty as well as dinner. Perfect place to stay in Ristolas.
The welcome and service are impeccable.
Thanks to Tiphaine and Benjamin.
We'll be right back.

Great family meeting, very successful.

We were for a Family Reunion at the Ristolas Hotel which opened expressly for our gathering. Despite all my requirements for the organization of this meeting, and the gastronomy (I am a chef myself in a four-star hotel in Germany), Benjamin and Thifaine received us with a lot of knowledge and kindness. The cuisine was excellent and varied and their availability was flawless. We wish them much success in the adventure they are starting in Ristolas (they have only been there for a year) and hope to see them again soon with great success.

Hotel to avoid

Absolutely avoid this hotel
There is no heat there
Benjamin is hot-blooded and climbs into the towers at the slightest thought
During meals he spends his time on his phone scrutinizing us...
It is impossible to be served a snack after returning from skiing even though it is noted that the hotel opens at 4 p.m.
Despite all the efforts that Tiphaine makes, we had a bad stay in this place and we absolutely do not recommend it.

Nous venons découvrir votre petit message sur TRIPADVISOR, il est dommage de créer un compte à usage unique pour essayer détruire un commerce, vous n'expliquez pas non plus votre caractère de mal poli, de personne aigris de la vie, vous êtes une insatisfaite de la vie, apparemment je ne suis pas le seul a passer mon temps sur mon téléphone, moi pour me distraire et vous pour faire mal, je préfère largement mon état d'esprit au votre.
Je suis très heureux de vous avoir eu chez nous, cela m'a permis de voir le genre de clientèle que je ne souhaite pas pour l'avenir de mon commerce.
Il est dommage de ne pas pouvoir noter les clients car vous pourriez voir ce que nous avons ressenti pendant 5 jours!!
Et surtout aussi n'oubliez pas de changer ou de mettre des lunettes car nous sommes un hôtel et pas un bar donc oui nous ne servons pas de verre l'après midi, je pense que votre collègue avait assez de vin dans sa gourde pour vous en partager.
Je vous souhaite rien et très heureux de ne plus vous voir.
Allez cracher votre venin ailleurs que dans le queyras nous n'avons pas besoin de personnage comme vous dans notre si belle région!!

Great Gite d'Etape with some interesting beer

Le Ristolas is in the centre of a tiny village of the same name tucked away in the Queyras. It's peaceful and calm, the dormitory accommodation is very comfortable and the food is top quality. There's a large lounge area with wood-burner and the bunk rooms are spacious. Highly recommended if you are hiking or skiing in the area. Considering how good the food is it is exceptional value for money.
The bar is well stocked with some good wines and interesting beers too.
They also have hotel rooms if you'd prefer, I assume they cost a bit more.
